Day 1
Thursday, April 18
1:30 PM – My loving in-laws drove us to BWI airport for our 8:30 PM flight. We arrived in Paris at 1:05 PM their time and checked into our hotel.
Before our trip, I did my due diligence on Parisian attire, basic etiquette, and how to pack. Therefore, my travel suitcase only had casual flats, fancy flats, and shower shoes. My sneakers, or what my husband would call “tennis shoes,” I wore on the day of travel.
After sightseeing, we shared French pastries while our friends were still on the clock. The Olympic banners hung around the city were a chef’s kiss!

Throughout the plane ride, I followed the icon inchworming from BWI airport to Reykjavik, Iceland. Too bad I forgot to bring my audio cord to hook up to the movie seat screen.
Subway Wall Line Art
Beautiful lines of art on the cement subway walls. It reminded me of the subway from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

We had a chocolate pastry, a chocolatine, with two more sweets in the background. In France, they are called pain au chocolat. Then, for lunch, we stopped at a nearby cafe. I had a baguette with goat cheese, lettuce, tomato, dessert to share, and coffee.

Andrew really liked this tree. The grandness of greenery between the buildings is intriguing.
